Description
Perform some notes on your MIDI controller. The same notes will be played again one second later. Using the number box provided, experiment with a variety of different delay times (e.g., short, medium, and long) and melodic line lengths. Very short delay times (e.g., 50-100 ms.) may be perceived as reverberation. A brief melodic idea with a medium decay time (e.g., 1-4 seconds) may be perceived as the repetition of a motif. A longer melodic idea with longer delay time (e.g., 2-8 seconds) may be perceived as a canon.
